Protest of the Foreign Ministry of the ChRI

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Chechen Republic Ichkeria
protests against the Ministry of Justice of Denmark with regard to
illegal detention of the Vice Premier of the Government of CHRI Ahmed
Zakaev. To our great regret, we have to state that official Europe has
changed its disgraceful policy of indifference to the Chechen conflict
to the disgraceful policy of complicity to the Russian authorities
annihilating the Chechen people.

This action is a demonstration of the fact that the Chechens are
deprived of the right to seek for political resolution to the conflict.
We hope the question will be settled and the Government of Denmark will
apologize for the incident. We address all human rights organizations
with an appeal to make wise measures with regard to Vice Premier of the
Chechen Republic Ahmed Zakaev. This precedent may be followed by the
arrests of the Chechens without exception living in Europe.
