(H/T La Shawn Barber)

I guess if you're over on the rabid left of things, you can insult (http://www.nynewsday.com/news/local/newyork/politics/sns-ap-deans-moment,0,3868303.story) people whose support you're trying to get.

During a meeting Friday with the Democratic black caucus, Dean praised black Democrats for their work for the party, then questioned Republicans' ability to rally support from minorities.

"You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room?," Dean asked to laughter. "Only if they had the hotel staff in here."

I thought I made a post on this but looking around I don't see it.

All I can say is WOW...

Putting Dean in charge is a great idea! Hopefully it will turn the left into a smoking crater a little faster than expected.

If that is any indication of Dean's ability to unite the party we will shortly be writing about "There goes Dean!"

Techie, remember your mantra. "People like this don't represent the Democratic Party." Oops, I guess they in fact do. ;)

"I hate the republicans and everything the stand for" -Dean, Jan30

Remember Frodo and I lived under this guys governance for a long long time in Vermont.

Amazing.

Dean may as well have said "It's sure good to see all you darkies , in here. Some of my best friends are darkies!" :(

The Democrats have finally embraced the politics of divisiveness and exclusion. Let's hope that doesn't work out for them.

Awful. What you read about in the papers concerning his behavior is small change compared to how he is in person. The guy truly is an evil, humiliating asshat. He truly is a throwback to the days when those in charge ruled with absolute power. There is no "by the people, of the people" in Dean's case. I am so happy he didn't make it for 2004. I fear for 2008.

Dunno if you are being glib or not, but either way - Dean really did single handedly destroy the great state of Vermont, and Jim Douglas has his hands more than full trying to undo the damage.

Its such a small state it doesnt get too much attention. If Dean had done in CA or even a state as large as VI what he did in VT somebody would have, and I kid you not, shot him in the head.

Negative on the glib. I almost always follow glib with http://www.globalaffairs.org/forum/images/smilies/whistle.gif.

You've posted on this at length before, but RetFireCapt wasn't here during that time frame, I think. If I recall what you posted, it was well beyond rhetoric, but significantly damaging taxation policies that ran off business, pandering, well... Gray Davis type demolition.

Permission to commence head banging?
Absolutely NOT!
You pontificated on the values of having Mr. Dean as the chairman of the DNC.
Head banging will not be your escape.
