Are there any good free ones?

TiVo now has its 'tivotogo' which lets you put your programs on your laptop. You view them using the TiVo software and Windows Media Player 10. You need to have an mpeg2 codec to view them though.

They recommend
Sonic Cineplayer DVD Decoder Pack (http://www.cineplayer.com/decoder/default.htm?from=)*
CyberLink DVD SE (http://www.gocyberlink.com/english/cyberstore/product_order.jsp?ProdVerId=84)*
InterVideo DVD XPack (http://www.intervideo.com/media_pack/jsp/Product_Profile.jsp?p=DVDXPack)*
NVIDIA DVD Decoder (http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_decoder.html)*
I'm wondering if there are any free ones? Currently, I'm using the 1 month free from NVIDIA.

Plunge.... try this out:

I don't know if you can take the codec in here and plug it into WMP 10, but if not they have their own player which comes with the codecs.

Hmmm... That didn't work. Thanks for the idea though.
