Good <a href="http://www.pvrblog.com/pvr/2005/02/ebay_coming_to_.html">explanation here</a> but while many think this is nice, I am scratching my head. I have a PC for that type of stuff, why would I want to use TiVo to shop?

It would be an avenue for people to more easily make impulse purchases. Therefore people would be more likely to buy stuff. The more people buying means more profit for eBay. I don't think it will end up being as much of a "need" type situation as it is an advertising and business one.

Having it right there in front of you is like the shopping channel. and many people may still have tivo without having puter... i imagine

Wow....so just how fat and lazy are we going to get in this country if it's too much to walk the 20 feet from the couch to the computer to order something on eBay? :)

Maybe it's marketed at people who have tivo but don't own a computer? Both of them.........;)

A friend of my mother uses that TV internet service, I can't even remember the name. Insists there is nothing he can't do with it. Of course, he is 87 years old.
