Well, isn't this interesting.
I just lost everything. The computer is behaving as if I am a new account. All my email...gone. All my stuff on the desk top, gone.
This is rediculous. I did nothing. Supposedly I have no virus.

Use system restore to go back to a day where the comp was ok. Cyd...I seriously think your computer is possessed.

Out of curiosity, do you use Internet Explorer? If so, there's your problem. ;)

Cyd...I seriously think your computer is possessed.

I was about to suggest yelling "The power of Christ compels thee!" at it a few times. :)

She had to rush out to work but she's ok. She pm'd me before she left. She rebooted and it was fine. Just to let anyone who might try and help by doing searches know...it was just a glitch.

Maybe I haven't been around computers long enough, but I've never experienced a glitch where it seems all my info is gone from the computer and then comes back after a reboot.

It sounds as if she's got something major going on with her computer. I'd do a clean reinstall if I were her.

I just uninstalled that microsoft anti-spy program. That thing kept turning itself on even though I was manually shutting it off. So it's gone.
And yes, everything was gone for a bit....the computer was behaving as if I was a brand new account...no outlook or anything...asking me to re-enter all the information. When I shut completely down and then re-started everything reappeared as normal. So...I be ok. For now. :)
And, as a matter of fact....uninstalling that friggin' thing... now that I've done that, I can get the logo on the top of this forum when using IE again. So, it was that program. Be it a conflict with something else I have on here or whatever it had to do with that program. It's over now. I be FREEEEEEEE.

Should listened to Vi to begin with. Damn. When will I ever learn? Double bottle of Baileys coming your way.

psst, Cyd, if anybody starts off their help with asking if you still have the boxes your computer came in, stop. They are not your friend.
