So, I'm slowly reading The Romanov Prophecy (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0345460057/qid=1103606970/sr=2-1/ref=pd_ka_b_2_1/002-0218190-4846435), I have it on my pda and read it during boring meetings and the like, looking like I'm busy. Anyway, it hasn't been half bad. I enjoy writers who give you little tidbits of life in the countries they are writing about.
Steve Berry, the author of this book, sets the story in Russia, mostly Moscow, at least for as far as I have read. In it, he mentions his main character distinguishing a group of tourists through various means including the fact that they all are wearing gloves and that Russians avoid wearing gloves, even in the coldest of weather.
I'm curious, is this true?
