Here Come Class Action Lawsuits Against Wireless Carriers

<![CDATA[Admittedly, wireless carriers are notorious for their poor service. However, with the advent of number portability, one would hope that a little competition should help to solve many of those problems. However, why wait for the market when you can sue? It looks like some groups are trying to come up with just about any excuse to <a href="http://www.baltimoresun.com/technology/bal-bz.cellsuit18may18,0,4576204.story">file a class action lawsuit against mobile phone service providers</a>. Now, I'm no fan of most of the wireless carriers - who I think have done a terrible job providing service to their customers and who are often misleading and downright sneaky in what they do. However, I also don't think bogus class action lawsuits help the situation much either.
