Jewelled eyeballs. Yes, you read that right - jewelery implanted underneath the cornea. From the Netherlands.

If this is what makes a person cool, then I'm going to be the most uncool person on the planet, because I ain't sticking nothing in my eye.

Do you wear contacts?

The jewel is not planted under the cornea, but rather on the "white" part of the eyeball. There was a show on about that the other day and they showed what's involved with the process.

Most eye surgeons are against the procedure and I suspect it's not going to catch on. But for those few that really want to be different, it's something they're going to look at seriously.

And it's really no different than any other type of body art / modification that's been going on for years.

Nope, don't wear contacts. Afraid of them rolling back and I won't be able to get them off.

So they're not implanted underneath the cornea? The little snippet underneath the picture says they are - gee, another incorrect publishing.
