In another thread (http://www.globalaffairs.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19763&highlight=pipes), I've mentioned Daniel Pipes giving a speech on Ismalists.
In his weblog entry about his lecture at UC Berkeley, Daniel Pipes (http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/181) mentions that the Berkeley Muslim Student Association is holding a conference this weekend titled Liberation Through Islam (http://www.danielpipes.org/rr/blog_181.php)—and one of the featured speakers, live from his prison cell, is convicted cop killer Imam Jamil Al-Amin (aka H. Rap Brown).
Apparently, being a convicted murderer doesn’t preclude being able to impart the “noble virtues of Islam,” because one of the items for sale to Muslim children in SoundVision’s shopping area is a videotape of The Words of Imam Jamil Al-Amin (http://www.soundvision.com/shop/pview.asp?item=213-024).
