has moved way east...... not staying near interstate as assumed....

People are apparently panicked. They had a false sense of security thinking he would just shoot from overpasses and bridges on I-270. Now he's been seen shooting in city streets.

They can't catch this guy since November? Officers???? What can be done? What to be expected for his aprehension?

We have profiled this before but let me just state the summary of the behaviour.

A serial killer will start slow and far in between the incidents. What happens then is that the attacks start occuring more. While the sniper gains false confidence that he hasn't been caught and won't be, he becomes more brazen, starting to make mistakes.

It's just crap.

I wish cops had a crystal ball, Fiona, but we don't. We're not magicians. We're like any of you, another working stiff, hoping desperately for a break in the case. Inevitably it happens, like in the DC sniper case, but unfortunately the criminal makes it painful, and sometimes it takes a while. Sometimes even a long while.
