Alexander Rodchenko was a revolutionary-era artist -- painter --and a great photographer. Had his first US retrospective show at the Museum of Modern Art in NY a few years ago -- it was quite impressive. Now a collection of his photos is up for sale at Christies, NY. Not his most striking work. Or maybe these are not great scans, his original prints have more contrast than shopws up ere. But I saw better stuff at a Moscow exhibit a few years ago. Still quite interesting.
