Just so they can use them as bargaining chips to get more of their imprisoned comrades back. Sweet, no?

Sharon is a buffoon for dealing with them in the first place. I was never (and never will be ) a fan of dealing with a terrorist organization. He just acknowledged their existence and gave a new goal for the terrorists.

It's frustrating, really frustrating.
On one hand, we have a commitment to our soldiers and citizens. 1 of ours worth many of them. On second hand, it looks like we're encouraging kidnapping our own soldiers.
It's a no-win situation. As far as I see it Hizbulla is trying (and quite succeeds) to regain power on south Lebanon. After Israel's withdrawal the population in the south began ranting about the hizbulla's presents and they had to justify being there (well, basically since Iran and Syria wants them there as a pressure tool against us).
Most of my reserve duty is on the Lebanese border and sometime I'm in a post only 50-100 meters away from a hizbulla one. This is not an extremist organization in the emotional way. It's very pragmatic, well equipped, very organized and very dangerous. Unless Iran and Syria stop supporting it, I personally sees no other path but a serious clash in the future.
