George Bush is a rich kid from a New England family who bought some Texas real estate and a big hat but no horses or cows. Phooey, He is as much a cowboy as Barbara Streisand.

Umm...this is insulting to cowboys.
Ronald Reagan was an actor, who played a cowboy in the movies.
Bush doesn't even have that remote connection.

Hey, if one of pup's favorite link sites calls Bush a cowboy, that's good enough for me! ;)

Cowboy?
He might wear the hat, and sometimes talk the talk, but really. You don't even need to stop at New England, try old England, George can trace himself back to royality, and is technicaly in line for the throne, if you go far enough down the line...
He is also (very distantly) related to Churchill, I am surprised they haven't tried to push that one. Apparently even they have limits to how far they will push it...

What limits, he claims to get orders from God? I respect Chruchill but he is outranked......................

You needn't bring up those nasty inbreeding rumors again!

I was thinking 'limit' in terms of good taste (Churchill being just about the only non American leader's name a US politican can name-drop safely.)
But you are correct.
Hmmm, George is a very 'kingly' name you know. They already have the hereditary thing down in his family...

We fought a war to get rid of an earlier George.

Yeah, but that one was a crazed fool, whose mind was rotted away by syphilis, barely able to comprehend basic facts, let alone complex foreign policies.
While this one...
Ah a thread with a bunch of posts including some by the sheep ranchers association who as we all know can't stand cowboys! rofl
Hey cowboy is too generic a term the way you guys are using it.
Bush is a cowboy in that he says what he means and he means what he says on stuff of substance--you know like Taliban or Saddam we are coming to get you and now we are staying until we clean up the town. Then when the job is done we will leave.
So when you think of cowboy don't think of some guy who is a cowpuncher but some cowboy like Wyatt Earp.
If Bush had inherited Vietnam the war it would have been over within six months after he took over with the good guys running the south and the guys from the north trying not to wet their pants.

I love it!!! My President IS a cowboy. He isn't a "girly man" that's for sure. I realize that some of my opinion is based on sex appeal, but I do agree with his policies also. :)

Well, it must have been popular (depending on POV) as I got the 'page not available at this time' message.
So what was all the fuss about?
