In our continued war against Canada, France, and Germany, apparantly an eBay vender is refusing to sell items to people from those countries. A Canadian eBayer was denied a sale and auction win, even when he offered up a US mailing address.

So does the seller ask American bidders if they are supporting the war? A sizeable minority do not, so will he refuse to sell to them, or would he in fact sell to a rabidly anti-war American, but not to a pro-war Canadian...
See how silly generalizing people with their government is...

I believe that what that person is illegal, as it is discrimination based on nationality, something that is illegal in this country. You cannot refuse someone service or a sale based on their nationality. And since the seller is using Ebay to sell his stuff, which is an American company, the seller has to comply with the laws of this country. Right?

While I am very angry and probably never forget what the people of France have supported, I am not a fan of these tactics. As Misu mentioned, we have laws here, and even if they were not laws, it would be very tacky and tasteless.
