I saw part of the ceremonies tonight, and it seemed that the guests and hosts were just going through the motions, with muted applause and strained smiles. I guess that life imitates art, and art also imitates life.

It seems that Michael Moore condemned the war, and he was booed by the crowd. I don't know if they did that because they supported their country, or because they didn't want to inject politics into the ceremonies - or both.
