How is it that in real life one can hardly find the time to really express the most inner thoughts and feelings. Does it stem from fear that inhibits us from sharing ourselves? Why is it that we all have a side to us that we don't let known to most we know and that most of our relationships our superficial? I have a friend that I say anything to. Then again...is this the truth? Do I not fear being judged? That friend will always be my friend. We may not agree on all things but we accept each other for being just ourselves.
More oddly, I find that over the internet it is no different. Yet, In here I can sense those that express themselves and the most inner thoughts on many given subjects.
Why are not more relationship in real life like this? How many people do you fully expose yourself to? One? Maybe two? Is there a part of you that you would never reveal of yourself?
To each person that we know, we gather them close for different aspect of our lives. One person know us for what we are in the work place...one knows us as the neighbor..one a sporting bud...one understands our ups and downs in relationships...and then we are the child or the parent. We wear many hats but who really knows us?
Our space in this world is so tiny compare to the every being on the planet or even time frame in that of all of time. Do we really live life to it's fullest?
Much of life is trivial and yet we obsess over the smallest of things in life. Who is the person that sit beside you each day at work? Why does the neighbor annoy you and yet is willing to help you out when you need to borrow a tool. Who was the person next to you in that class?
One can sit on a bus or go to the mall and there are people...lots of people everywhere. Each person we meet has something to offer us...something we can learn from.
It is said that life is a journey....are we just letting life pass us by and not the fullest of life enrich our life?
Got to love this site...yes, I know that some of you will judge what I have to say and you know what...I care and I don't care.
I am learning from each of you and broadening my horizions and my life. To each of you, thank you. I work, I care for the house, I am a single parent, I have my few friends and one of you know who I am in here ~ in real life! lol Otherwise, I would not be here! Sometimes, I get overwhelmed by responsibilities and forget about some of my needs as an individual. Communication...real communication is one of those things that gets overlooked.
I am the first to admit that no one person knows every aspect of me. A couple come real close though.
So tell me what is your opinion as to why we do not let more people close to us?
