The last 7 days have resulted in the largest weekly market gain since October 1982.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned it, especially as it most likely related to the invastion of Iraq.
Will it continue, I don't know, but it's creating an awful lot of capital gains for those invested right.

The Dow's 8.36 percent rise for the week was the best since an 8.72 percent gain for the week ending Oct. 8, 1982.

I was watching CNN when they started to tell us how good it is going. I didn’t know what to think about it. They were making it sound that thanks to the war the recession might turn out to be a laugh off. I didn’t know what to think. Our economy will be healed by this? Time to buy a house!

Better do it quickly, cause the mortgage rates went up yesterday also. :)

I'm in an investment club. We decided to buy Factset Research (FDS) during our monthly meeting last Monday night. The stock went up $1.95 that day to $27.10, before we bought it.
Fortunately, it finished the week at $32.85. :)

The market has been hanging out on the winds of war for months now, what you have been seeing this past week is a huge sigh.
They might reverse when the war is over, but at least there won't be this big black cloud called Iraq War over it.
